Lovetunay is a brand born from love, authenticity, and transformation. Founded by Filipina-Canadian designer, Tristanne Lovetana, the name combines “love”—inspired by my last name, Lovetana, and the care poured into every creation—and “tunay,” the Tagalog word for “true”, reflecting my commitment to staying authentic in everything I do.
At Lovetunay, every fabric has a story. Carefully chosen from thrifted and secondhand materials, each piece carries the essence of its past while being reimagined into something entirely new. With unique patterns and textures, no two creations are ever the same; a true celebration of individuality.
Upcycling and reworking are at the forefront of Lovetunay. Through creativity and reconstruction, materials that once had a previous purpose are thoughtfully reimagined into something entirely new, giving them a second life.
Each piece is designed, curated, and handmade with love by me. Every stitch reflects my dedication to authenticity and transparency in my craft, often combined with subtle details inspired by my Filipino heritage, ensuring that your piece is as meaningful to you as it is to me.
Lovetunay aims to build community through in-person connection, creating events centred around upcycling and beginner sewing techniques.
